Health History & Consultation

Upon entering the office, you will be greeted and given some brief paperwork to fill out. This provides us with general information about you, your health history and your health goals. Dr. Hochberg will then meet with you to discuss your health-related problems and health goals.

Examination

A number of specialized tests will be performed. Dr. Hochberg will study the way you turn and bend, examine your reflexes and take a good look at your posture and how you walk. These and other orthopedic, neurological, physical and chiropractic tests help show Dr. Hochberg areas that could be causing your problem.

Diagnostic Imaging

Based on your exam findings, x-rays or other types of imaging may be necessary. Taking these pictures of your spine can rule out more serious conditions, confirm other findings and make your care more precise.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, you may be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application; avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches. After you leave, Dr. Hochberg will review and correlate the results of your history, examination, and any imaging studies.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Options for care will also be discussed during this time and if accepted as a patient, care will begin on this visit. However, if yours is not a chiropractic case or if further tests are required, be rest assured you will be promptly referred to the appropriate specialist
